Senior Research Scientist

This job involves leading international collaborations to transform the Australian Grains Genebank into a bio-digital resource centre. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced researcher with expertise in population genetics, diversity analysis, and genomics.
Key Responsibilities: Lead international collaborations to develop approaches for integrating data from different genotyping platforms.Establish interoperable genebank data management systems and data infrastructure.Promote the Partnership's objectives nationally and internationally.Communicate Partnership outputs to a broad range of stakeholders.Contribute to science delivery and peer-reviewed journal publication.Requirements: PhD in population genetics, diversity informatics, quantitative genetics, plant molecular genetics and/or genomics, or a similar field.Strong publication track record and experience in leading multidisciplinary research projects.Expertise in data analysis methods relevant to genebank genomics, diversity analysis, genotype imputation, and characterisation of plant genetic resources.This position is located at AgriBio, a state-of-the-art biosciences research centre within the Plant Sciences unit. The successful candidate will work closely with leading international researchers in genebank genomics and diversity analysis.
