Ventia has been transforming some of the country's most contaminated land and waterways, monitoring and analysing environmental factors and threats, and developing innovative, technology-driven solutions for more than 35 years.
Ventia is seeking a passionate qualified or Assistant Hydrographer / Environmental Scientist for our Environmental team in Maffra, Gippsland.
This role is offering between
$73,000 - $110,000
including super per year.
In this role, you will work under the direction of the Regional Manager to carry out hydrographic and environmental data collection activities on both Surface & Groundwaters.
Duties
Undertake water quantity & quality monitoring & sample collection and analysis from both Surface & Groundwater systems.
Undertake maintenance needs at respective sites.
Process, register and dispatch discharge measurements and water quality results.
Calibrate and service onsite monitoring equipment and associated sensors.
Other duties as directed by the Managing Hydrographer.
About You
Experience in the Environmental / Water industry.
Highly motivated & enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a team.
Enjoy working in remote locations & the outdoors.
Science or Environmental qualification (desirable).
Boat licence (desirable).
Car licence.
Proficiency in Information Monitoring and Analysis.
Skilled in MS Office suite.
