Senior Research Fellow - Kids Rehab Research WA Kids Rehab WA offers research-informed services to children and youth with acquired or congenital neurological impairments, to improve functional outcomes.
The research program exists to generate, evaluate, and translate research findings and build capacity in the field by training the next generation of Clinicians and Clinical Researchers. Kids Rehab WA recognises that the experiences of children, their families, clinicians, and the community play a critical role in shaping our research.
The Opportunity The Senior Research Fellow will conduct high level research and provide research leadership for the Kids Rehab WA CONNECT-CP project. This five-year project aims to change the lives of children with cerebral palsy in WA by ensuring all children can access early intervention, regardless of where they live.
The Senior Research Fellow will develop, conduct and lead high quality research projects and teams aligned with CONNECT-CP's vision, and provide leadership and coordination of the project working groups.
Some of your duties will include:
Leading the development of research projects, including reviewing and collating background knowledge, establishing collaborations, and developing methodological concepts. Making independent and original contributions to research which are acknowledged at national level. Disseminating research findings through high impact peer-reviewed publications and conference abstracts/ proceedings. Presenting at local, national, or international conferences and community forums and identifying additional ways to disseminate research outputs. Fostering a culture of collaboration with clinicians, researchers and other stakeholders. About You To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:
A minimum of 7 years research experience post-PhD. Experience leading ethics, governance and data integrity in large research studies. Excellent track record in securing national, competitive fellowship or project funding for relevant research. Relevant scientific publications in peer reviewed journals. Experience working as part of a clinically integrated research program or previous experience in a clinical team.
