About the role The Senior Reliability Engineer - Facilities ensures optimal asset availability, performance, and improvements for facility infrastructure by applying reliability engineering principles. This role provides expertise to maintenance teams on breakdowns and asset performance, leads root cause analyses, FMECA, and reliability-centered maintenance, and contributes to asset management plans and life cycle requirements. Key responsibilities include analysing asset data for improvements, managing risks to operations, and implementing strategies to ensure safe, reliable rail operations.
Additionally, this role involves quality control, safety reviews, and governance, maintaining compliance with PTA standards. The engineer reviews risks, oversees technical deviations, and proactively identifies regulatory improvements. Governance duties include engineering management, monitoring technical standards, and supporting entry into service approvals. The role also includes contract management, creating maintenance strategies, participating in tender processes, and coordinating with contractors and PTA departments to maintain strong working relationships.
About You! To excel in this role, you should possess:
Engineering degree with equivalent experience, and expertise in asset renewals, planning, and lifecycle management for building services systems.Strong personal integrity, professionalism, and extensive experience in critical infrastructure environments.Skilled in stakeholder management, technical report writing, and effective communication with diverse stakeholders.Advanced problem-solving, technical learning ability, and organizational skills to meet targets and deadlines efficiently.About Us The Public Transport Authority's (PTA) vision is to be recognised as a leader in providing world-class public transport services and solutions.
