Senior Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Mental Health Intensive Care Area ResponseSenior Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Mental Health Intensive Care Area Response (MHICAR)The Mental Health Intensive Care Area Response (MHICAR) model is a first across Victoria, providing access to additional resources to complement the existing IPU team's work to recognise and address deteriorations in young people. Through pioneering reform that delivers real-world practical solutions.Orygen Specialist Program (OSP) provides specialist mental health services, focusing on early intervention for young people aged 15 to 25 with severe and complex mental illness. Our Inpatient Unit (IPU) is located in Footscray on the Western Hospital site. The IPU includes a 16 bed low dependency area and a further three ICA - Intensive Care Area beds, as well as three Youth Justice ICA beds (ICAEAST) - for targeted specialised service delivery for youth with complex mental health and psychosocial needs.Orygen provides comprehensive mental health services, including inpatient care, to young people across various settings.
