Responsibilities You will be part of the International Applications Team responsible for the Luminos Claims platform. The team consists of Business Analysts, Developers, Functional & Automation testers and a Support team.
As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist you will be responsible for application testing, with the opportunity to influence practices immediately as we modernize our testing framework. You will work with the rest of the Testing team to ensure adherence to the new processes in BAU.
On a day to day basis you will: Review project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to understand the scope of testing and identify potential gaps or ambiguities Develop comprehensive test plans outlining the testing approach, strategies, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies. Create detailed test cases covering functional, non-functional, and edge cases, ensuring thorough coverage of system behaviour and requirements Execute test cases manually or using automated testing tools, following defined test procedures and methodologies Document and report defects found during testing, providing clear descriptions, steps to reproduce, and supporting evidence to aid developers in resolution Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks Conduct appropriate regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality Perform security testing to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, discuss test results, and prioritize testing efforts Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and other testing artifacts for future reference and audit purposes Qualifications We are interested in hearing from people who have: Tertiary qualifications or certification in software development or allied discipline A current Australian Baseline Security Clearance, or the ability to hold one Demonstrated experience in manual or automated functional testing Sound understanding of the role of Quality Assurance in the SDLC Experience with modern software development tools including JIRA, Confluence, Continuous Integration Experience with Agile & Lean methodologies within a QA practice Experience in software & project delivery teams, including estimation, sprint planning and test strategies Working with us: GB values its employees and offers a friendly, comfortable working environment that facilitates a Work and Life Balance!
