As the Senior Quality Assurance Officer for the National Fire Ant Eradication Program, you will work with passion and purpose towards the realisation of our vision of a fire ant free Australia by 2032.
You will coordinate and conduct treatment verification projects that will examine process efficiencies and efficacy and strive for continuous improvements in our service delivery.

As our Senior Quality Assurance Officer, you will:
Coordinate the implementation of comprehensive quality assurance projects for the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.Provide advice and support in the application of quality assurance principles in the development, review and implementation of Program policies, procedures, and practices.Assist with the identification of key components within Program processes that will facilitate examination of process efficiencies and efficacy and possible process improvements.Promote an evidence-based learning approach to the quality assurance process to engage Program staff in an atmosphere of mutual trust and a commitment to continuous improvement.Coordinate and conduct treatment verification and collect and analyse data to contribute to assessing compliance with prescribed operating procedures and the effectiveness of program treatment activities.Coordinate the maintenance and improvement of Program procedures and protocols and contribute to their implementation to ensure that eradication techniques and tools are contemporary and have been applied correctly.Provide reports, feedback, and recommendations to management in relation to the compliance by Program staff with operating procedures including recommendations to improve program efficacy and efficiency.Supervise and support the quality management team and work collaboratively with the staff in the Planning and Quality Management Unit to achieve results aligned with approved work plans, treatment, and surveillance plans.You may also have:
Experience supervising a large team and/or coordinating quality assurance projects would be well regarded.The ability to write high quality briefing notes, reports, and presentations.An understanding of biosecurity response activities and the Queensland Disaster Management Arrangements and/or experience in applying your capabilities in a response environment will also be well regarded.Why join the department?The work we do is widespread and varied, but our people are united by an innate sense of purpose, and a passion to serve their fellow Queenslanders.
