Job Description - Senior Quality Advisor (262210)Senior Quality Advisor - 262210UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia's largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure.The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Advisor to join the HumeLink West team.Please note this role will initially be based in Sydney, with transition into a site delivery role requiring DIDO/FIFO or relocation where additional allowances will apply. Local applicants are highly considered.What will a day in this role look like:Assure quality products and processes by establishing and maintaining a project quality management system based on ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems and UGL's management system.Drive the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.Champion a quality culture; promoting an informed, participatory workplace that continues to develop construction and training methods to achieve quality levels that satisfy our client's needs and expectations.Ensure final product complies with all standards and specifications developed, including the final approval of the consis.Work with Operation to ensure all Quality (workmanship and standards compliance) requirements associated with the scope of work are fully understood and carried out.Communication of changed process documentation to stakeholders and to ensure planned introduction across all locations.Responsible for the implementation and delivery of the quality improvement strategy in line with agreed goals and objectives.About YouExtensive years construction quality and/or completions experience.Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems.ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor.Proven inspector of final product and/or service and previous experience in quality function in renewable/utility EPCM projects is advantageous.Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
