What can our construction projects build for you?
CPB Contractors along with our industry partners has been selected as preferred proponent to deliver two major packages for the Cross River Rail Projects: the Tunnel, Stations and Development (TSD) package and the Rail, Integration and Systems (RIS) package. Cross River Rail is a new 10.2 kilometre rail line from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, which includes 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and the CBD.
The RIS package is crucial to the overall delivery and success of Cross River Rail, and its integration with the Queensland Rail network. RIS will be delivered by the UNITY Alliance which brings CPB Contractors, UGL, AECOM and Jacobs together with partners HASSEL, RCS Australia, Acmena, Martinus Rail and WIRED Overhead Solutions to deliver the full scope of works over the next five years. This includes:
Rail civil and electrical works
Brownfield rail surface works primarily to the north of the tunnel, including an upgrade of Exhibition Station and a major augmentation of Mayne Yard
Upgrade of seven suburban stations to the south
Rail operational systems works
Rail signalling works and communication, and integration and commission activities.
Your Opportunity
Reporting to the Construction Manager, CPB Contractors has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Quality Advisor. You will be responsible for facilitating, coordinating and reporting on assurance activities and deliverables including operational readiness, asset acceptance, contract deliverables and practical completion.
The successful candidate will have had exposure to Tier 1 projects and possess strong coordination, stakeholder engagement and effective relationship building abilities and will contribute to the efficacy of the project by providing deliverable management services that support, track and enable Project Handover.
Key responsibilities:
Implement the Handback Management Plan to satisfy the conditions precedent to Operation, Asset Acceptance, Handback and Practical Completion
Assist in the development of processes to satisfy the conditions precedent to Operation, Asset Acceptance, Handback and Practical Completion
Identify gaps in the processes and deliverables, and actively assist with solution development
Coordinate assurance deliverables and "conditions precedent" across multiple assurance submissions, audits, sites and teams
Lead and facilitate coordination, progress and readiness meetings across the relevant assurance activities
Present progress of Assurance Activities to Senior Leaders and Project Teams
Identify improvements and take steps to implement the identified improvements
Assist with the implementation and management of Hexagon (Quality & Test & Commissioning Software)
Desirable experience:
Quality / Engineering / Deliverable Management / Asset Acceptance Operational Readiness / Project Completion / Handover experience
Electrical / Mechanical project experience
Construction / Mining industry project experience
Proficient in Excel
Experience in Power BI Reporting Development / Microsoft Excel Reporting & Graphical Visualisation Development
Experience in developing processes to meet requirements / deliver outcomes
Stakeholder engagement, relationship building and coordination skills
Experience presenting to large audiences, favourable
Data analysis skills with the ability to manipulate and rationalise data
Pragmatic self-starter
Ability to self-learn
Change Management / Training experience favourable
