About the opportunity
MINPROVISE is a specialist products, engineering and services company providing expert support to the mining, oil & gas and construction industries.

This includes the supply of mineral processing equipment, onsite installations, maintenance & repairs, shutdowns, offsite repairs and fabrication.

Our suite of products covers mineral processing and bulk materials handling equipment along with other specialty products.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Purchasing Officer to join our team, playing a key role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

This role requires a motivated individual with a commitment to continuous improvement, strong relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of strategic purchasing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all purchases are made at the right time and at the right price.
Bring new suppliers, products, and ideas to optimise procurement processes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Leverage industry knowledge for better product and relationship management.
Utilise the ERP system (Visage) effectively, leveraging its historical data on products and suppliers.
Maintain accurate supplier information in the system for easy access by the team.
Ensure all product codes and requisitions are accurately recorded and tracked.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in procurement records.
Continuously seek ways to improve procurement processes.
Keep updated with industry trends and best practices to bring innovative ideas into the procurement strategy.
Skills & Qualifications:
Basic proficiency in Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
