We encourage motivated individuals who value a service-first mindset to explore a career with Airservices.The Role & The TeamAs the Senior Protective Security Specialist, your responsibilities will include:Provision of specialist security advice and implementation of protective security requirements across Airservices, including the Accreditation of Physical Security Zones in accordance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).Provision of specialist security support to the design, project management, and delivery of projects across Airservices.In addition to these priority functions, you will provide general security advice for Airservices assets and sites, support security incidents, contribute to the Transport Security Program, and assist with compliance with the PSPF.You will be part of the Security and Resilience team responsible for engaging with external security professionals and maintaining Airservices' record of Safety, Environmental, WHS, Risk, and Compliance excellence.The successful applicant will have:A minimum of 5 years' experience in a protective security role, with a proven track record in security services delivery, especially in aviation, critical infrastructure, government, or Defence.Experience in new facility or infrastructure development projects is advantageous.Experience in the accreditation processes for Physical Security Zones to comply with the PSPF.Thorough knowledge of the PSPF; knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework is desirable.Understanding of ASIO Technical Notes relating to secure spaces.Understanding of the Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) requirements.A sensible, risk-based approach to protective security.Experience in external stakeholder management, particularly with Government agencies.Experience developing and implementing internal audit and assurance programs.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.Advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365).A Certificate IV in Security Risk Management or equivalent qualification is desirable.A qualification in Project Management is desirable.Security ClearanceTo be eligible to apply, you must be an Australian Citizen as a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance will be required for this position.To apply for this position please lodge an application online.
