The Senior Project Officer will undertake various activities to contribute the successful delivery of the whole-of-government Right to Information Uplift project, as part of the broader Transparency Agenda. The project aims to provide centralised training, building skilled RTI practitioners and reduce key person dependencies in agencies. The project's intent is to support consistent practice across the RTI space and deliver enhanced processes and systems for RTI.

DutiesUndertake complex business process mapping of current and future processes for RTI requests on behalf of the TSS. Assist to develop and implement appropriate training to improve practice across government.Create and deliver project reports, presentations and other forms of reporting, including complex written and oral analysis of the legislation and policy associated with the RTI processes, to a range of stakeholders.As a delegated RTI officer, independently design and facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholders.Liaise and consult daily with relevant staff to discuss project activities and provide recommendations based on consultation with staff.Independently design and create core documents for approval by Executive.Develop and present communications, tools and presentations to staff and external stakeholders.Research and develop an understanding of the existing policy, processes and practices associated with RTI requests across the TSS, and make recommendations as to policy reform and training needs.Contribute to the development of frameworks for key corporate governance elements including, but not limited to, policy, risk, planning and delegations to continuously improve the corporate governance arrangements.Actively contribute to the development, continual improvement and enhancement of Departmental business systems, business processes and guidelines to meet the standards and protocols of the Secretary, Premier, Ministers and the Government.Collaborate with leaders and managers to implement sustainable, transformational change in organisational culture and behaviour through the design and implementation of fit for purpose projects and programs.Develop, promote and enhance positive relationships and networks within, and between, the senior management of the Department and the Office of the Premier, Minister/s in a highly political and sensitive environment.The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.Tertiary qualification in law, project management, business analysis or other relevant disciplineDownload the Statement of Duties and any Associated DocumentsElectronic submission of application is preferred, please click the blue 'ApplyNow' button.
