Job Summary We are seeking to recruit Senior Project Officers to join the New Buildings Team.
The New Buildings Unit operates within the Programs Branch of the Asset Management Division of the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) .
The Team is responsible for delivering the Relocatable Building Program across Victorian Government Schools.
The program focuses on providing high volume and rapid delivery of modern relocatable buildings to meet fluctuating school enrolments and provide space for school staff.
It also supports the requirement for temporary buildings in response to emergency situations and supports capital works through the decant, removal, re-site, demolition and provision of new buildings.
Advertisement The Senior Project Officer works within a team to deliver the Relocatable Building Program and will be responsible for leading the project management and delivery of relocatable buildings to Victorian schools, in line with VSBA and construction industry standards.
The key accountabilities for the position include:
managing and coordinating the work of consultants and contractors to scope and deliver approved projects on time and within budgetmanaging project and program objectives, scope, cost, time and quality requirementsensuring all VSBA and industry standards are metnegotiating with, and influencing, key stakeholders in the development and management of programsassisting with accurate project reporting based on credible, authoritative and well-evidenced advicecollaborating with internal teams on implementation of programsestablishing and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, particularly schools, to manage risks and resolve issues impacting successful program delivery.The ideal candidate will have a background in program implementation and/or project management, with experience in building or construction and managing diverse stakeholders in achieving required outcomes. The role may also be responsible for managing a small team.
