Exciting opportunity to join our BreastScreen Queensland team as a Senior Project Officer based in Herston!
Support state-wide components of the planning, implementation and evaluation of the BreastScreen Queensland Program supporting the achievement of State and Commonwealth Government preventive health priorities and targets.Provide high level strategic analysis and advice on population screening policy, planning and program issues to Senior Management, Departmental Executive and the Minister's Office.Contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of state-wide population cancer screening programs.Collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to enhance the delivery of high quality, innovative and effective population screening services.Prepare complex documents and other information associated with the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and initiatives, including discussion documents, reports, project plans and briefing notes.Actively participate in planning and quality improvement activities that contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, flexible resource use and innovative service models.Promote and ensure the use of appropriate project management and change management techniques, methodologies and tools, including benefits realisation and risk and issue management, to ensure quality project outcomes are delivered.The successful person The essential requirements for this role are:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of State and Commonwealth population cancer screening policy directions.Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and manage state-wide strategies and initiatives in a complex environment.Demonstrated ability to analyse state-wide and national outcomes and translate research and evaluation findings to inform policy, program planning and directions.Demonstrated high level consultation, negotiation and problem analysis skills and ability to identify opportunities for improvement.Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, including preparation and presentation of high quality documents and advice of a complex nature.Proven ability to work independently as well as a senior team member to achieve organisational goals.While not mandatory, persons with senior level experience in health promotion or public health would be well regarded.
