Safer Care Victoria was established in January 2017 to ensure our health services are providing safe, high-quality care to patients: every time, everywhere. As well as monitoring the standards of care provided, Safer Care Victoria is partnering with patients, clinicians and health service managers to support the continuous improvement of health care.
About the role: The Organisational Review & Response Specialist (Senior Project Officer) in the Response & Development team will support SCV to lead and coordinate efficient responses to complex patient safety and clinical governance issues in partnership with relevant health sector leaders and subject matter experts.
The successful candidate will have expertise in safety and quality management, clinical governance policy and practice, health care organisational dynamics, the science of human factors, and systems thinking capability.
The Response & Development team in the Clinical Governance, Culture, & Capability Program is responsible for ensuring expert response to complex patient safety and clinical governance risks and issues, and leading organisational change and development interventions to reduce and prevent harm.

How you'll make a difference: Lead and coordinate efficient SCV responses to complex patient safety and clinical governance issues in partnership with relevant health sector leaders and subject matter experts, with a key focus on undertaking systems-focused reviews.Work collaboratively with the Clinical & Professional Leadership Unit in the management of all Therapeutic Goods recall and medical devices.Strong critical analysis and reporting skills, high attention to detail, excellent writing skills and experience in managing stakeholder relationships.Proven ability to manage projects, promote teamwork and contribute positively to a team environment.Demonstrated experience with all aspects of project coordination.Demonstrate high level of awareness of own strengths and areas needing development.Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies to gain agreement to proposals and ideas and explores alternatives to gain agreement without foregoing key objectives.Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with people at all levels and from different backgrounds and organisations.To learn more please click 'Apply' to view the Position Description on the Careers.vic website.
