About the opportunity There is currently one (1) 36-month fixed term, full time position with the possibility of extension and/or permanency available for immediate filling.
The Department has established a Vertebrate Pest Management Program (VPMP) to address the impacts of feral deer and feral pigs on the environment and farming communities in WA. The VPMP aims to tackle these pests through the implementation of the department's Deer Action Plan, Rusa Deer Eradication and Control Plan, and the Western Australia Feral Pig Action Plan.
We are looking for individuals with: Demonstrated experience in complex project management, including the ability to plan and deliver agreed outcomes within specified timeframes. Demonstrated experience in community engagement and consultation processes. Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse data to produce reports. Employment Conditions and Additional Information DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
