An exciting opportunity for two Senior Project Officers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the Patient Administration System (PAS) Readiness Project.
Focusing on stakeholder engagement across all Hospital and Health Services (HHSs), to define and modernise the future state vision of the Queensland Health Patient Administration System (PAS).
These roles will be required to provide expert knowledge and advice of current patient administration business processes / workflows, business rules and knowledge of HBCIS within the HHS environment to enable the successful delivery of the project/program.Delivery Services Branch, eHealth Queensland is leading a program of work to modernise the Queensland Health Patient Administration System (PAS) across the state, including all 16 Hospital and Health Services (HHSs).
The program is in the readiness phase focused on detailed planning, including the development of the program business case and associated implementation planning activities.
This exciting, multi-year, program of work will enhance patient engagement and access to services and support modern healthcare delivery for all Queenslanders.Reporting to the Project Manager (PAS), the Senior Project Officer, Subject Matter Expert (SME) role is responsible for providing specialist expertise relating to patient administration business processes, Project Management, Governance, Assurance and Reporting across the PAS Readiness Program.
You will provide coaching and support to a multi-disciplinary team and establish and maintain collaborative partnerships between the PAS project team, Department of Health, eHealth Queensland and potential external vendor(s).In addition to this, you will be responsible for:Providing strategic and expert knowledge and advice of current patient administration business processes / workflows, business rules and knowledge of HBCIS within a HHS, i.e.
Emergency, Admitted and Non-admitted practices.Lead key operational, clinical and program stakeholders to support the development of project documentation, specifications, and presentations, including future state requirements.Lead the development of documentation ensuring it is aligned to operational and regulatory requirements within HHSs and across the Department of Health.Provide leadership advice and direction relating to core enterprise patient administration practices inclusive of:Health information managementPatient demographic informationAdmissions and dischargesReferrals and waitlist management for both specialist outpatients and elective surgeryClinical workflows including elective admissions and bed management practicesMedical record trackingClinical reporting and coding practicesFinance and revenue.Are you right for this role:This role requires significant experience in the provision of support to large scale, complex IM/ICT programs and projects; specifically, in the themes of planning, initiation, stakeholder management and communication, reporting, budgeting, financial and risk management, and project closure.Your well-developed negotiation and communication skills will enable you to effectively negotiate and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders regarding the coordination of outputs of multiple specialist teams to deliver the solution as well as the preparation of written communication materials and service agreements.You will have a proven ability to analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages with a keen eye for detail.
