About the role We are excited to offer an opportunity for a suitably skilled and experienced Coordinator to join our team in Townsville on a 5/2 roster Monday to Friday.
You will be responsible for coordinating and managing field site support activities, including inventory management and logistics coordination between multiple sites.
You will also be accountable for providing support in maintaining efficient supply chain operations through monitoring stock movements, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
What you will be doing Supporting the coordination of weekly orders from field sites, maintaining accurate documentation and tracking through various systems and spreadsheets; Coordinating backloading activities, including surplus stock returns and transfers between sites and strategic stocking locations; Monitoring and maintaining inventory control processes, including shelf-life management and stock rotation; Supporting the Mt Isa Depot's stock reconciliation investigation processes; Processing documentation requests and coordinating with Customer Service Representatives for sales order creation and docket creation; Working with the Territory Manager to improve and optimise Orica's Queensland logistics network through holistic and strategic decision making.
What you will bring Experience in logistics and distribution roles inclusive of scheduling activities; Excellent communication skills; Highly developed organisation skills and the ability to effectively multitask; A customer focus with a proactive problem-solving approach; A desire to work as part of a successful and supportive team; The ability to learn and upskill to adapt to an evolving workplace; Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP/4S Hana would be highly regarded.
