This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading
The client currently engages with regional communities, First Nations people and businesses, government, and industry to support employment, workforce development, and incentives to encourage investment and community support for energy transformation.
As the Senior Project Officer you will professionally represent the organisation through high calibre project work, stakeholder engagement and administration practices and processes.
Initial 12 month contract | Brisbane CBD Location Competitive daily rate | Flexible work environment Project and research support | Policy advice Key responsibilities: Provide policy advice and maintain an understanding of the legislative and policy framework that supports the organisation and their role in Queensland's renewable energy transition. Conduct high-level research, interpretation, analysis and review of a wider range of matters, such as the renewable energy industry, jobs and skills, and current and emerging policies which pertain to the program. Liaise professionally with executives and senior leaders, key stakeholders, including other State Government and Commonwealth agencies, First Nations Peoples, local governments and regional communities, to stimulate local economic activity and jobs through Queensland's energy transformation. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to Government. Prepare material to support the organisation's work program including reports, briefing material, media and communications, presentations, collateral and correspondence. Plan, prioritise and manage multiple and competing projects and activities within tight timeframes in a busy work environment autonomously or with a team. Conduct and coordinate administrative activities, including supporting travel bookings, meeting and forum planning and logistics and monitoring the diary. Undertake other administrative functions, including record keeping and budget management, to support the organisation. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, tailoring messages to suit a variety of audiences. Demonstrated ability to be highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment to support delivery of outcomes. Demonstrated project, policy and research skills in a technical policy area.
