About the role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Officer to join our team. This is a hands-on role and is pivotal to ensuring the Strategic Local Government Asset Assessment Project is delivered on time and on budget. You will work under the supervision of a Project Manager and use your suite of project management skills to develop project briefs, provide advice, develop and implement project plans, and track progress.
Stakeholder engagement is key to the role, and you will work closely with project managers to deliver key communication, engagement and learning activities and deal with a range of stakeholders. In particular, you will work with local councils to enhance their ability to make decisions on what heavy vehicles can access their roads.
This is a temporary full-time role until 30 June 2026 preferably based in Brisbane in a close tight-knit and high-performing team. On offer is a flexible, supportive, and inclusive work environment where the work you produce plays an important part in freight and supply logistics in Australia.
About You You don't need to know anything about the heavy vehicle industry or issues around local council road access (although you'll get bonus points if you do). However, you will have extensive experience in a project environment with strong skills in project scheduling, data analysis, planning, and reporting.
As the ideal candidate, you will have a demonstrated ability to work independently, organise and prioritise tasks, resolve complex problems, and manage deadlines. You will work well as part of a team to provide consistent, responsive, and high-quality advice and project support.
You will be a proactive, clear, and factual communicator with the ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience. Your lateral thinking and influential stakeholder engagement will see you thrive in this role.
Application Process If the above position sounds like an opportunity for you, please apply with your CV and cover letter addressing the essential requirements of the role.
