EDQ has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Senior Project Officer to join its Business Development team.

The Business Development team at EDQ seeks to find new opportunities to achieve EDQ's goals, and works on converting opportunities into realisable opportunities by assessing transactions, assessing cashflows, establishing transaction structures, planning and tenure outcomes, as well as preparing development schemes and masterplans to create the vision for a project opportunity.
We are offering a unique opportunity for a Senior Project Officer to join the team on a fixed-term temporary basis for 12 months. You will be responsible for providing support to achieve project objectives and assisting with activities related to project development and delivery. Specifically, the role will require the successful candidateto possess the skills to:
• support the project team in the delivery and investigation of development projects to ensure the effective and timely implementation of EDQ's strategic objectives. This will involve the ability to investigate planning laws over the sites (both opportunities and constraints), and being able to determine a likely development outcome (density quota) for the site, to enable the team to prepare an initial feasibility assessment.
• plan and provide recommendations and follow through on appropriate expenditure for land management and the upkeep of estates, including procurement procedures, engaging with contractors and ensuring work is completed in a timely and costefficient manner
• prepare contractors scopes, manage the procurement of contractors, products and services for minor works projects and project investigations
• lead, project manage and deliver appropriate minor development works
• assist in the preparation and assessment of feasibility studies and ongoing management of project feasibility through Estate Master, including inputting and
monitoring of 'actuals' against 'budgets' 
• assist in the preparation, management and monitoring of budgets, including reporting of financial performance, monitoring cash flows and identifying risks
• assist in the preparation of Project Control Group and Business Case Review reports, agendas and minutes
• support the management of approvals for development and infrastructure proposals, including material change of use, lot reconfiguration, building works and
operational works under the Economic Development Act 2012 and other planning legislation.
This position is an ideal role for someone who is already on their development management journey, and is looking to broaden their experience from one specific
property use to a variety of property uses, such as residential, retail, industrial, commercial, infrastructure and affordable housing. It is also an ideal opportunity for
someone who has transferable skills from within the industry, such as town planning or finance, to expand their development management experience.
