We encourage and welcome all applications from women, diverse community groups and ages, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people with disabilities.About the opportunity :The Senior Project Officer (Community Batteries) is responsible for project administration and management tasks to advance construction, stakeholder and community engagement, and knowledge sharing aspects of DEM's emPowering SA community battery project, and other initiatives contributing to the government's broader energy transition agenda.About us :The Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) leads the global transformation economy, overseeing the responsible mining and production of the minerals, metals and fuels of the future, to safely and sustainably generate the energy and low carbon products of the future.Our low-cost power, leading regulation system and culture of innovation is leading to the decarbonisation of industry, new modern manufacturing opportunities, increased employment and greater prosperity and security for the people of South Australia.Key Selection Criteria :Please only address the dot points listed below in your application :Knowledge and experience with project management principles, their application, and use of project management tools and templates in capital works projects.Significant experience in the preparation of briefings, reports and the development of recommendations for senior management in a government setting.Experience in creating and analysing spreadsheets and databases.Experience and knowledge of the energy market, energy retail and / or distributed or consumer energy resources (DER / CER) technology would be highly advantageous.Qualifications :Desirable : Qualification(s) demonstrating relevant technical and / or project management expertise would be advantageous.Remuneration :ASO6 salary range $98,478 - $104,165 per annum + superannuationFull-time role, working 37.5 hours per weekSpecial Conditions :This is a contract / term vacancy up to 30 June 2026.Out of hours work may be required.Enquiries :Lynette Day, Manager Energy Education and AdvisoryDepartment for Energy and Mining08 8304 ****** Instructions :Applicants are required to submit a curriculum vitae and written application of no more than two pages, demonstrating their suitability for the role by addressing the key selection criteria above.
