An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic academic quality and standards team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of ECU's academic excellence.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to take on the role of Senior Project Officer, Academic Quality and Standards.
The Role
As Senior Project Officer, Academic Quality and Standards, you will work under the broad direction of the Manager, Academic Quality and Standards to coordinate the requirements of the University's TEQSA and CRICOS re-registration process and other academic quality related projects.
The role will include the preparation and review of the necessary documents required for submission and the coordination of the external review of ESOS required for the CRICOS re-registration, including any preparatory internal reviews.
This role will also prepare reports for University committees, and undertake other necessary projects required to support the re-registration processes and submissions to the regulator (TEQSA).
Your responsibilities will include: Lead Regulatory Submissions: Oversee and manage registration submissions, ensuring compliance with TEQSA, CRICOS, and other relevant regulatory bodies.Project Leadership: Facilitate the planning, execution, and completion of high level projects in academic quality and compliance.Quality Assurance: Advise on the development and review of academic policies, processes, and quality frameworks that align with regulatory standards and institutional goals.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and quality improvements.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with academic quality and standards to maintain institutional integrity.Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to continuously improve processes, ensuring best practices are followed across the institution. The successful applicant will have the following core competencies: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation.Demonstrated expertise in the interpretation and application of higher education standards and legislative requirements, including HESF, ESOS, and RTO Standards.Demonstrated capability to undertake complex project management across the full life cycle from identification to completion.Experience in utilising evidence-based practices and data analysis for continuous improvement and monitoring of curriculum and academic quality compliance.Demonstrated highly developed relationship building and negotiation skills, including expertise in written and oral communication.Demonstrated capability to act with high levels of autonomy, initiative, adaptability, and with attention to detail. You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry Personal Excellence and Courage.
Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, 2-year fixed term position attracts remuneration of $115,042 to $129,573 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution (HEW 8).
