Period of employment / Hours: Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)
Location: Homes Tasmania - Housing Policy and Programs - Commissioning Unit – Statewide (**)
Note (**) - Specific work location to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Duties: Primary Purpose / Focus : This is a senior officer role within the Housing Policy and Programs branch, requiring a strong understanding of commissioning service delivery within the community sector and demonstrated ability to develop contract management policy and procedures to oversee Homes Tasmania's contract management framework for community sector services.
The Senior Project Officer, as part of the Commissioning Unit, will contribute to the design, development and maintenance of a contract management framework and implement prudential controls and risk management for Homes Tasmania to support contract managers.
Skills and experience : Selection criteria includes: Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate advice, recommendations and solutions to senior managers and colleagues on relevant issues across the spectrum of their responsibilities.Significant knowledge and experience in commissioning and contracting with the community sector, including the ability to develop procedures and documents that meet business priorities and legal requirements.Highly developed time management skills and the demonstrated ability, both individually and as a member of a team, to plan, organise, set priorities to complete tasks to meet deadlines and achieve established benchmarks and standards.Current Driver's Licence.Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
