The Role The Data and Insights team plays a crucial role in harnessing the power of data to support strategic decision-making and optimise business performance.
By developing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance, and delivering reports and dashboards, the team enables stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
As the Senior Project Manager you will lead and oversee data projects from inception to completion.
You will excel in driving complex data initiatives with a blend of strategic vision, technical acumen, and strong leadership.
Your key strengths will include a deep understanding of data ecosystems, from data engineering and architecture to advanced analytics and business intelligence.
You will be highly skilled in managing cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between data solutions and business objectives, and navigating stakeholder expectations.
Your role responsibilities will include:
Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for data-related projects, including data pipeline development, dashboard creation, and advanced analytics initiatives.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, business intelligence analysts, and business stakeholders to align project goals with business objectives and ensure that the delivered insights meet business needs.Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage project dependencies, and address issues to keep projects on track.Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data quality, accuracy, and governance best practices are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on project progress, budgets, and milestones to senior leadership, using appropriate project management tools to track KPIs.Agile Practices: Implement Agile or hybrid methodologies to manage iterative development and facilitate continuous collaboration with stakeholders.Change Management: Support organisational change by managing the adoption of new data tools, systems, and processes, and providing training and resources as needed.Your Experience Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or a relevant field, combined with project management experience with a focus on data and analytics projects.
You will have a strong understanding of data architecture, databases, data warehousing and reporting tools (eg Power BI).

You will have a highly organised mindset, with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders whilst working closely with our established IT Team.
