The Associate Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with timelines and project scope.
With a solid understanding of project management principles and a reasonable knowledge of Salesforce project lifecycles, the Associate Project Manager will work closely with senior project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and effective task management.
In addition to supporting larger initiatives, this position will take ownership of smaller projects autonomously, managing resources, tracking progress, and ensuring successful outcomes.
The role also includes maintaining project documentation and driving continuous improvement through adherence to best practices.
Roles & responsibilities
Consulting
Assist in the coordination and management of Salesforce implementation projects, ensuring alignment with client needs and project goals.
Collaborate with clients to understand business objectives and support the translation of requirements into actionable project plans.
Participate in project scoping sessions, supporting the senior project managers in defining deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
Monitor project performance against objectives and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
Work closely with technical teams to understand solution design and assist in guiding clients through the project lifecycle.
Business Development/Leadership/Strategy
Independently manage smaller-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and adherence to budget.
Support senior leadership in the preparation of project proposals and reports, contributing insights from previous project experience.
Develop a strong understanding of the company's project management methodology and contribute to its continuous improvement.
Participate in strategic discussions, offering feedback on project processes and identifying opportunities for more efficient project execution.
Lead internal meetings and presentations to communicate project progress and strategic priorities.
Client Support
Serve as a point of contact for clients on smaller projects, ensuring regular communication and managing expectations.
Proactively identify and resolve issues during the project lifecycle to maintain client satisfaction.
Provide clients with updates on project timelines, deliverables, and any changes to scope or objectives.
Support client training and enablement efforts post-implementation, ensuring successful adoption of Salesforce solutions.
Risk & Compliance
Comply with relevant firm and industry legislation and incorporate into practices and processes as relevant
Report all identified risks, breaches
Comply with relevant WH&S legislation, adhering to reasonable instructions, work procedures and practices to maintain the health and safety of the team
Report all workplace hazards and incidents
Key performance indicators
Agreed upon through the performance measurement process with the Managing Partner
Special conditions
Ordinary full-time hours: 37.5 hours per week between 8am – 6pm
On occasion some out of hours work may be required – please note unpaid overtime may also be required on occasions
Selection criteria
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
Strong foundational understanding of project management principles, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Basic knowledge of Salesforce and its project lifecycles, including discovery, implementation, and post-launch support.
Experience managing smaller projects autonomously, with responsibility for timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to foster relationships across teams.
Proven problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying risks and implementing solutions.
Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn from senior project managers and contribute to team success.
