Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage an Senior Project Manager . This position is located in their busy Gungahlin ACT office for an initial contract until 30/06/2025.
About The Position
This position is a key role in the multi-disciplinary delivery model. The Senior Project Manager, leads the delivery of their assigned projects in a collaborative manner to ensure effective delivery of the ERP Program.
The Senior Project Manager may need to directly supervise staff.
This role has access to a range of flexible working provisions including hybrid work arrangement.
Duties
Take delivery responsibility for the assigned projects
Provide effective leadership to the multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring processes and tools are used effectively and the team is successful in their objectives.
Establish and build relationships with key customer contacts, stakeholders and vendors
Ensure that identified risks and issues are assessed, their impact and probability are known, and mitigation strategies are developed, reported and when needed, enacted, and monitored.
Develop and maintain essential artefacts
Ensure that outcomes and benefits are forecast, planned and monitored to ensure their effective realization.
This position may involve direct supervision of staff.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communications skills
Requirements/Skills
Highly developed knowledge and experience in the delivery of projects in two or more of the following areas: COTS implementation, ICT infrastructure commissioning, software development, strategic sourcing, and/or business improvement.
Tertiary level qualifications and/or certification in Project Management and Program Management
Well-developed and demonstrated leadership and people management experience
