An opportunity exists for a high performing and experienced Senior Project Manager seeking a hands-on role in managing multiple civil infrastructure projects by ensuring effective coordination of key operational activities and resources associated with project management.
This permanent, full-time position reports to the Operations Manager and is located in Mackay.
In the role of Senior Project Manager, you will program manage the delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects through the provision of technical expertise, project management experience, and the administration of contracts to the design, construction, and maintenance processes associated with project delivery.
In doing this, you will ensure effective coordination of key operational activities and resources associated with project management of a program of complex projects.

ResponsibilitiesSome of your responsibilities will include:
Manage the project team, materials, resources, and suppliers to ensure all members are appropriately skilled and utilised, and to ensure deliverables, time, and budgetary requirements are met.Promote a Project Management culture and manage the development and implementation of the total project plan in relation to: integration, human resources, scope, communication, time, risk, cost, procurement, and quality.Project manage the delivery of assigned complex and multiple Road Maintenance projects and activities such as construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, preconstruction, electrical, and business projects.Ensure all relevant standards, policies, guidelines, legislative requirements, and operational system procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of projects to a high and consistent standard.Identify and engage the necessary internal and external expertise to deliver project requirements, including the selection, engagement, and procurement of contractors and suppliers.QualificationsMandatory qualifications and conditions: Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.You may be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time.
You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.Desirable qualifications and conditions: A Diploma in Project Management.Previous studies or experience in an engineering field.Demonstrated supervisory or management experience in the civil industry.RPEQ Engineering qualifications will be highly considered.To thrive in this role, you will enjoy working dynamically and be comfortable exercising judgement in undertaking day-to-day tasks in a complex environment, have highly developed critical thinking and communication skills.
