About the Unit
Infrastructure and Facilities Services (IFS) is responsible for the planning, development and operation of the University's physical infrastructure and estate. This includes both operational services delivery and the management and upkeep of facilities to support the strategic objectives of the University.

The Senior Project Manager leads and manages project teams in the planning, design and delivery of medium to large scale capital works projects to deliver on the University's and IFS Strategic Plans. This role focuses on the successful delivery of built capital projects in accordance with the IFS project governance framework to provide quality, safe and financially sound outcomes meeting stakeholder expectations.
How will you inspire us?
The successful applicant will have:
Postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience in relevant areas (such as project management, engineering, architecture, planning or construction management); or extensive project management experience and proven project management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated leadership capability including the ability to collaborate and inspire a team of professional staff to deliver exceptional performance/outcomes. Proven project management experience in a commercially focussed and complex environment where significant high-value capital projects are delivered. Demonstrated high level facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Capacity to think creatively, act strategically and manage change while effectively managing stakeholder expectations, issues and risks. Highly developed financial management skills including the ability to manage large and complex program, value management, project budgets and associated financial management systems. Demonstrated experience in the management of external project managers, design consultants and the design process to achieve enhanced project outcomes. Demonstrated experience in scope development, procurement processes and the preparation and administration of construction contracts; specifically the NSW Government GC21 contract suite and systems for major and minor construction works.
