About the role Our new Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the management of various medium – large technology projects, with a focus on IT applications and software development. These technology projects will range from moderate to high in complexity, utilising a hybrid of both agile and waterfall methodologies.
Key Accountabilities include: Translate business needs into a clear, measurable project aligned with the broader business strategy.Define project scope, approach, and plan to ensure effective delivery of outcomes and benefits, addressing all standards and quality needs.Lead a cross-functional project team, ensuring the right capability and capacity, fostering a high-performance team culture, and addressing impediments.Manage project financials, schedule, risks, and issues proactively, identifying and resolving potential barriers early.Identify and manage stakeholders to ensure their active involvement and commitment throughout the project.Ensure robust quality management and technical assurance in line with V/Line's Enterprise Project Management Framework and relevant standards.Provide clear, consistent project progress and status updates through targeted and timely communications, including regular status reports.About you Must have 5+ years' experience successfully managing medium – large scale software projects, exclusively on the business side (not vendor)Proven ability to communicate and effectively build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, from junior up to Executive/Director levelDemonstrated experience successfully conducting presentations and presenting project reports to Executive/Director level leadershipTertiary qualifications in project management or related field (desirable)Change management experience and/or qualifications (desirable)Salary for this position is commensurate to the successful candidate's aligned skills and experience to the position.
