About the Team
When you join the Infrastructure Projects team, you'll join a group of professionals delivering Australia's future rail network. To help grow rail transport in Australia, the team is focused on ensuring the delivery of critical construction projects across the country, including implementation of our $1 billion Network Investment Program that we've developed with the Australian Government. Whether it's designing, building or maintaining crucial rail infrastructure, the team plays a pivotal role in our ongoing efforts to improve network resilience and keep the future of freight on track.
About the Opportunity
As the Senior Project Manager you will lead the successful delivery of critical work packages, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Collaboration and leadership will be at the heart of your role, driving project success while aligning with ARTC's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers, Engineers, consultants, and contractors to achieve project objectives and contribute to ARTC's broader Network Investment Program.Foster a culture of collaboration, ensuring strong partnerships across teams, stakeholders, and ARTC's network operations.Oversee all aspects of project lifecycle management, including feasibility, scope, costs, benefits, safety and environmental impacts, in line with ARTC's Project Management Procedures.Communicate progress effectively, providing accurate and timely updates to the Manager Projects VIC/SA/WA on project milestones, financial performance, and emerging issues.Champion teamwork and innovation to resolve challenges, mitigate risks, and ensure the successful delivery of project milestones.In this position you will be required to travel and spend time at various project sites as required (not a rotational role) but the ability to travel is required.
What do we want from you?
You are a seasoned project management professional with a strong background in delivering complex infrastructure projects. With at least 7 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering or linear infrastructure environment, you have honed your ability to lead teams and manage projects from early feasibility planning through to successful delivery.
Essential Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex infrastructure projects, preferably in the rail (signalling projects highly desirable) or transport sector.Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.Eligibility for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.Proven ability to foster collaboration and build positive relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams to achieve ambitious goals.Expertise in project management methodologies, financial forecasting, and contract management.Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to diverse audiences.Driver's licence - Class C.What will you get from us?
