We design and deliver projects in the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy and Remediation industry sectors.Projects include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works and pipeline rehabilitation: the complex infrastructure needed to build better communities.The OpportunityAs we continue our growth in Queensland, we're seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the pursuit and delivery of civil construction projects.In this crucial role you will have key involvement in every stage of the project lifecycle, from identification of each opportunity through to project delivery - ensuring timely completion, staying within budget, and aligning with Abergeldie's values and strategic vision.Your Key Responsibilities:Leading and mentoring a team of construction professionals with a strong focus on safety and successful project outcomesDeveloping and implementing strategies for efficient project execution and on-time deliveryOverseeing project financials to maintain budget control and ensuring clear, accurate reportingReviewing and approving critical project documentation, including Notices of Delay, variations, EOT submissions, and progress claimsPreparation of detailed reportsManaging all facets of head contracts, sub-contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure compliance and performanceMonitoring cash flow and applying effective cost control measures to ensure the financial health of the projectActively identifying strategic project opportunities and contributing to bid preparation to secure future workAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will bring:A tertiary qualification in Civil EngineeringRPEQ accreditationProven experience in tendering and delivering high-profile TMR projectsDemonstrated leadership experienceWillingness to take on regional projects, including living away from home (LAFH) when requiredExtensive experience with Project Management software/tools and ERP systemsStrong knowledge of Australian Standards and TMR StandardsA proven track record of building, leading and motivating project teams to achieve high-performance outcomesExceptional problem-solving skills with a creative, adaptable approach to overcoming challengesWhy you should work with usOur people are what make Abergeldie successful, and we make sure that this is the kind of place where great people enjoy working for the long term.We have a range of employee benefits including the Abergeldie Bonus Scheme, where all eligible employees share in the benefits of the projects they have helped to deliver.When we deliver winning projects, we celebrate success together!
