Barpa Pty Ltd is a majority Indigenous owned commercial construction company.
The core of our business is the construction of technical and complex facilities, which incorporate innovative design.
Many of these construction projects are managed within a live operational environment and require careful and detailed planning.Our clients include various Federal and State Government departments, Universities, Councils, Not for Profits, Private Companies and Tier One contractors.We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Townsville.
You will be responsible for delivering effective construction solutions that meet time, quality, budget, and safety parameters.As an excellent communicator at all levels, you will build strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors, fostering positive interactions.Responsibilities: Manage and deliver commercial construction projects from inception to completionEnsure projects meet time, quality, budget, and safety standardsBuild and maintain effective relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractorsLead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and supportDevelop and control project budgets and cost managementEnsure compliance with HSEQ requirementsOversee technically complex projects ranging from $1m to $20mDemonstrate adherence to our Blueprint valuesUtilize MS Project and MS Office Suite for project management tasksMinimize costs through numerical aptitude and commercial savvinessRequirements:Degree qualified in Construction Management or a similar disciplineAt least 8 years of project management experience working on construction projects from $5m upwardsStrong leadership skills to manage and influence subcontractorsSolid experience meeting HSEQ requirementsProficiency in MS Project and MS Office SuiteDefence experience is advantageous but not essentialBenefits and perks:Access to our EAP (Employee Assistance Program)Excellent Leave Policies that include purchased Annual Leave, Work Life Balance Days, Community Days and generous Parental Leave schemeCollaborative and values-based workplace cultureSporting and Social eventsProfessional MembershipsDiscounts on Travel, Retail and Health*Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are encouraged to apply*Recruiters, please note we are not engaging agency support for this role and do not accept unsolicited resumes.
