We have a dedicated Defence & National Security team that provides a variety of services to our Defence clients that include the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG), and Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).

The Opportunity
We have an immediate requirement for experienced Project Managers and Program Managers with Defence Capability System experience to join our team in Canberra.
Working amongst a team of motivated, knowledgeable, and collaborative professionals, you will step into an open and supportive culture that values the skills that you can contribute to the group.
Key responsibilities will include:
Working within a project team to drive the delivery of multiple and diverse projects to ensure quality, time, and cost outcomes are achieved.
Building and maintaining effective client and stakeholder relationships.
Being a subject matter expert relating to the Defence acquisition process and related policy.
These roles will be part of a Beca project team that is co-located with our client in their offices.

What we'll like about you
We are seeking candidates that have:
Experience working in a senior project management role, preferably within the Defence acquisition space.
Knowledge of PMBOK and its application, the Defence project management environment (and Defence methodologies), and PM2.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
Essential Criteria:
Relevant or related engineering and/or project management qualification including accreditation with a recognised professional body.
A current Australian Government security clearance at NV1 level or higher, and be eligible to access information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
While not essential, candidates will be highly regarded if they possess the following:
Led projects within NSSG, CASG, and/or RAN.
Exposure to requirements definition and the management of procurement activities.
