The Building Projects Directorate within the Infrastructure Delivery Division provides advisory and management services to assist State government agencies manage the construction, replacement, refurbishment or demolition of buildings, office accommodation and government employee housing.

The Opportunity The Department is excited to announce the establishment of multiple Senior Project Manager (ASO7) and Project Manager (ASO6) roles within the Building Projects Directorate.
These roles will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects that align with the strategic objectives and priorities of the government and partner agencies.
This includes: Delivering comprehensive building project advice.
Providing construction and planning advice.
Implementing integrated risk management practices.
Preparing, overseeing, and interrogating project scheduling.
Project reporting and financial management.
Preparation of procurement and contract documentation.
Drive pre and post contract control and monitoring.
Lead internal and external project teams from project initiation to final completion.

Requirements/Experience Technical or construction related qualification is not essential but preferred; however, proven project management experience in construction industry projects is essential.
Appointment may be to the ASO6 or ASO7 classification level, and the successful applicants will be appointed at the classification level commensurate with their qualification(s), skills and experience.
Special Conditions Prior to employment with the Department, the successful candidate will be required to provide: A National Police Check (NPC) which is required to be renewed every three years.
A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
