Purpose of the Position:
The Senior Project Leader, Student Administration is responsible for initiating, developing, overseeing, and reviewing VET/HE projects related to compliance reporting standards required by a dual sector provider, focusing on annual aspects prioritised by the Director Student Experience with a specific focus on meeting current and future standards, such as ASQA/TEQSA and AVETMISS/TCSI student data reporting standards and AQF Certification standards.
Duties: In collaboration with the Manager – Student Administration - SMS Compliance & Government Load Reporting, develop an annual priority project plan for approval by the Director Student Experience.Initiate, develop, oversee and review Student Administration processes, procedures, and policy, including system logic, to enhance clarity and meet compliance requirements around Student Experience responsibilities and functions including the following:Curriculum dataStudent dataAQF Certification reporting and issuanceInitiate, develop and promote minimum standards for Student Administration processes, procedures, and policy, including system logic, to provide clarity around VET and HE reporting standards to inform teaching & learning development and delivery of VET and HE programs.Curriculum set up, maintenance and reviewSchema Maintenance and reviewData error reporting toolsInternal Student Data ReportsValidation of Government Load ReportingIdentify and disseminate the correction of data notifications, related to the Student Management System and related data systems used by Student Administration.Participate in relevant curriculum or other relevant groups involved in the development of HE and VET Program by increasing the awareness and knowledge of reporting standards to Commonwealth and/or State/Territory reporting agencies.Under the direction of the Manager, assist in the maintenance of processes related to ASQA, TEQSA, NCVER, and/or Commonwealth/State audits and reforms, including the introduction of changes to student data fields resulting from legislative changes at Commonwealth/State levels.Build collaborative interactions with relevant internal and external stakeholders.Deliver staff induction and training segments related to annual projects, including resource development and maintenance, as required.Other duties within the range of skills normally associated with this classification as directed by the Manager – Student Administration – SMS Compliance and Government Load Reporting. Selection Criteria - Essential: A minimum tertiary qualification of a Diploma level or higher in a relevant discipline (or working towards completion of), or a mix of tertiary qualifications and relevant experience in a similar role.Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with proven experience to communicate with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and demonstrated capacity to work within the social, political, and cultural environments of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations.Demonstrated capacity to undertake personal initiatives, making decisions appropriate to the level of responsibility of the position, time management skills, initiative, and managing complex workload priorities.Demonstrated capability in process analysis, review, and implementation at team level.Demonstrated capability in the understanding and interpretation of procedures that relate to Commonwealth/State legislation.Demonstrated capability in leading and mentoring a diverse team and/or individuals to outcomes of success.Understanding of Work Health and Safety, Equity and Anti-Discrimination principles and practices, and ability to comply with Institute WHS Policies and Procedures.Selection Criteria - Desirable: Demonstrated experience in testing, writing, and delivering training to users.Demonstrated experience in meeting the expectation of stakeholders within a Higher Education Provider (HEP) or Registered Training Organisation (RTO) environment.Demonstrated knowledge of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) standards, Higher Education Support Act (HESA), HE Sector and relevant legislation.Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) standards, VET Sector and relevant legislation.For any enquiries please contact ****** or call 08 8939 7222.
