Work with a well-established and reputable national civil contractor on large-scale bulk earthworks projects among others. Our client is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager to join their growing business. They provide services across a number of industry sectors such as:
Building construction
Industrial
Mining and resources
Transport infrastructure
Environmental
You will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects. Types of projects include:
Demolition
Excavation
Retention
Piling
Foundations
Ground improvement
Soft and hard landscaping
Site remediation and rehabilitation
Typical project values range from $2.5 to $25m but can go up to $50m. Projects are located in Brisbane QLD.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working on tenders
Planning and scheduling of construction activities
Management of site project teams
Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
Preparation of management reports
Resolving site issues in a timely manner
Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
Coordinating internal and external resources
Business development
Recruitment and mentoring of teams
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
5 – 15+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+
Project management qualifications will be advantageous
Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach
Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
Effective problem solving abilities
Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
High level of organisation and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
