As one of the most significant infrastructure projects in Western Australia's history, the Perth Tonkin Gap Project has already generated significant buzz and anticipation. Commenced in 2020, the project will reduce congestion, improve transport efficiency, and create new opportunities for commuters when complete.
The project is a game-changer, setting out to transform the way people move in and around the bustling city of Perth, and provide a blueprint for other cities looking to modernise their transport systems.
The Tonkin Gap Project will address the current bottleneck where Tonkin Highway reduces from three lanes to two lanes in Bayswater and Redcliffe, significantly reducing travel times and improving safety. We will also be making improvements to access and connectivity for road users, pedestrians and cyclists in the project area.
The Associated Works will provide rail-enabling works for the METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook Line along Tonkin Highway, including underpasses and dive structures, to enable trains to enter and travel along the median of Tonkin Highway then exit in Malaga. Road and bus bridges will be built at Broun Avenue to provide access to the future Morley Station.
Who we're looking for: We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our high calibre team, working with senior members of the project team to achieve optimum production and cost outcomes. Drawing on your learnings from a successful engineering career, you will:
demonstrate leadership qualities which allow for mentoring of Site Engineers and Graduates to achieve innovative solutions to complex challenges provide onsite engineering services and technical support to fearlessly strive towards safety, environmental, specification, design and contractual requirements The successful candidate will be a self-starter with: a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering high level verbal and written communication skills minimum four years' experience on infrastructure projects excellent attitude towards health, safety, environmental and quality outcomes, embedding this commitment in everything you do motivation to achieve value-for-money results previous experience with major tier one or two contractors undertaking similar work.
