Full-Time, Fixed-Term until 30th June 2025Based at La Trobe University's Melbourne, Bundoora campusTake your career in exciting and rewarding directionAbout the position The Australian Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care (ACEBAC), a research centre of the AIPCA within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at La Trobe University is a member of the national Dementia Training Australia (DTA) consortium.
The Dementia Training Australia (DTA) consortium is an Australian Government funded dementia education program aimed at increasing the capacity of the health and aged care workforce and healthcare students to care for people with dementia. The DTA consortium is led by the University of Wollongong and consists of La Trobe University, Dementia Australia, Queensland University of Technology, University of Western Australia, and University of Tasmania Wicking Dementia Centre.
DTA provides a range of training and education services and activities nationally through collaboration across consortium members. The La Trobe University DTA team is responsible for the delivery of the Dementia Knowledge to Action (DK2A) Program, General Practitioner (GP) education program, Pain Consultancy Service and Commissioned Training Programs.
The purpose of this position is to plan, develop, deliver and assist in the continuous improvement of the DK2A Program delivered by La Trobe University in conjunction with the program team. The role will coordinate and lead the development of key educational resources, lead the coordination of the pilot testing phase and play an integral role in planning and leading the coordination and scheduling of delivery intakes in conjunction with the program delivery team. The DK2A Program is designed to develop practice leaders equipped to implement sustainable change in their care environments.
Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have;
Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar roleExperience in project management, from conception to deliveryAn ability to prepare and interpret project management tools and schedulesGood understanding of project reporting and governanceKnowledge of the experience of dementia is preferredAbility to innovate and take responsibility for outcomesProven analytical and problem-solving capabilitySolid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-managementProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of project management systems such as Monday.comBachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related fieldExcellent interpersonal skillsPlease refer to the Position Description for other duties, skills and experience required for this position.
