The Opportunity
Join our innovative finance team, where you'll partner with accountants to drive excellence in financial reporting, compliance, and auditing. In this role, you will provide valuable financial insights, strengthen governance, and actively contribute to our future success by improving processes and optimising performance.
You'll work closely with Senior Leaders at G8 to deliver monthly and annual reports while leading initiatives focused on enhancing processes, performance, and reporting capabilities.
This role is a maximum-term opportunity on a Full-Time basis until the end of July 2025.
Your day-to-day
No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:

Preparing and reconciling entries
Preparing and analysing monthly profit and loss results
Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
Ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial result each period
Acting as a business partner within and/or to different Support Office Departments
Creating detailed work instructions for tasks linking to G8 policies and develop new and improved ways of working
Assisting with internal and external audit requirements by answering queries and providing information on a timely basis.
Leading process improvement initiatives, simplifying reconciliations, and improving data matching workflows

About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experiences:

3+ years of experience in a similar role
Degree qualified with CPA
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and Blackline will be looked upon favorably
Experience in improving reporting and analysis for specific functions
Intermediate Excel skills
Strong technical accounting skills
Strong focus on process improvement
Desired experience working within an ASX-listed company
Exceptional stakeholder engagement with business
Hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid working with children check
