About the Role The Activity Centre Division works across State Government and with local government, industry, and the community to implement the Government's Activity Centre Program. The Project Support Officer role supports the development and delivery of Planning Controls within Activity Centres. The role supports stakeholder and community engagement, prepares a range of project documents, monitors and reports on project status, contributes to risk and issue management, and establishes and maintains relationships with multiple stakeholders.
A highly dynamic individual is required in this Senior Program Delivery role to be a focal person who will work closely with council representatives, state government departments, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure that the project deliverables are in line with the project outcomes and timelines. This role will be required to develop engagement strategies to manage effective relationships with the stakeholders and collaborate on project activities and deliverables. This will require providing strategic advice on activity centre planning, ensuring that government land allocations meet the needs of the community and align with Activity Centre Program goals.
Position Outcomes The Senior Program Delivery Officer plays a vital role in developing and implementing engagement strategies that build positive relationships, gather community feedback, and align these needs with project objectives. They work closely with council representatives to explore improved collaboration methods and address long-term activity center planning needs.
As the primary liaison for councils, this officer ensures timely and accurate communication regarding project progress, timelines, and community concerns. They also develop and manage relationships with state government departments and agencies to ensure effective coordination across multiple portfolios.
The officer liaises with state government stakeholders to align community infrastructure planning and development with state policies and long-term strategies. They collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to identify infrastructure development priorities, promoting an integrated approach.
Providing strategic advice on activity center planning is a key responsibility, ensuring that government land allocations meet community needs and are in line with Activity Centre Program goals. The officer prepares reports, presentations, and strategic documents for a range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, councils, and government departments.
Qualifications and Role Specific Requirements Mandatory Degree or Qualification in planning, communication, business, public policy, or a related field.Experience in local government and/or state government is highly desirable.Experience and/or understanding in strategic planning.How to Apply Click the 'Apply' button and follow the prompts.
