Lead the change, from the frontline    Based in Melbourne, the Senior Product Manager is a key member of the Product Team.
This position works closely with the Head of Commercial Strategy & Product, and teammates across the business to develop products and solutions that stimulate growth and reduce churn to enable the business to meet our commercial and strategic objectives.
This role needs a motivated, hands-on senior retail energy product manager with particular focus on energy tariffs, propositions, new technology and products, that underpin successful energy products.
They should understand and be able to dissect the customer journey & experience as well as business operations and processes and deliver cross-functional projects and change management program documentation.
With respect, integrity and honesty you will: Drive the Product & Propositions strategy to deliver enhanced customer experiences that contribute better outcomes for customers and the business.
Define and develop new products and propositions, and grow/improve existing products, from concept and market research through to business modelling and delivery.
Stay on top of industry trends to discover opportunities for new/improved offers, tariffs and services, and undertake critical analysis of competitors and market segments to identify profitable product opportunities and positioning.
Project manage team members across the business through implementation and launch, then monitor and improve operations during hypercare period after launch.
Product management on other products in the portfolio as required.
Lead cross-functional teams through complex design and delivery challenges to rapidly launch new products & propositions.
Work with Marketing team to ensure Products and Propositions align to organisational Customer Value Proposition and support the marketing and communication strategy.
Develop Product & Proposition solutions that reduce Churn and increase loyalty over time.
Demonstrate best practice product and project management via: Process development, documentation and improvement Customer journey mapping, including onboarding and lifecycle events, identifying areas for development and improvement.
Present proposals to senior stakeholders to gain approvals.
Analyse data sets to generate insights to inform business and project decisions.
Ensure product metrics, reporting and insights are robust and produce actionable, useful strategic insights.
Monitor the performance of products in the market (whether Proof of Concepts, MVPs or live) and develop improvement plans as necessary.
Develop strong working relationships and work closely with the Sales, Pricing Operations, Digital Product and Marketing teams to ensure that propositions align with our customer value proposition, sales strategy and operational capabilities.
In addition to Regulatory Compliance and Legal to ensure solutions are compliant.
What you'll bring    Here's what you'll need to thrive in this role: Energy industry experience essential; Understanding of energy rates and tariffs and the impact; Experience in business product management analysis and frameworks; Independent and motivated, with ability to perform well in a team environment; Keen interest in developments in technological and business innovations in and outside the energy industry; Presentation: ability to present to stakeholders in a clear, concise and confident manner, both verbally and written; and advanced PowerPoint skills desirable; Commercial modelling: intermediate modelling and Excel; Excellent project management skills; Experience in and application of product development frameworks; Experience with customer testing; Ability to develop comprehensive business cases and effective presentation of complex ideas; and Ability to understand, visualise and breakdown complex processes.
