Senior Product Development Officer

Sales, Marketing and Innovation | Administration/Support/Service, Customer Service/Call Centre, Marketing/Public Relations, Policy/Planning/Research The Senior Product Development Officer is responsible forscoping, researching, creating, and coordinating the delivery ofcommercially viable products that appeal to current and potentialmarkets for collectibles. They will manage products from inceptionto completion, working collaboratively with relevant departmentswithin the Mint to ensure product objectives are achieved andprograms are delivered to budget, in full and on time. The Senior Product Development Officer works independently orwith subject specialists and licence holders on the development ofauthentic special interest coin programs. They also coordinate andmanage currency determination submissions on behalf of thebranch. The successful applicant is required to work full-time. The duties of this position include: 1. Identifying suitable themes, events, andanniversaries to commemorate on coin. 2. Preparing and presenting new business cases basedon research and analysis. 3. Preparing product financials for cost and revenueforecasting. 4. Undertake market research and product validationtesting. 5. Developing and managing project plans, includingaccurate documentation of business cases and risk assessments, andmanaging timelines and deliverables. 6. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders toensure coin, packaging and presentation materials meet budget,quality standards and delivery dates. 7. Reviewing coin and packaging designs to ensurecompliance with briefs, program partner and/or licensorguidelines. 8. Proof reading and fact-checking copy on productpackaging and promotional materials. 9. Managing currency determination schedules anddrafting requirements.
