About the Role
A unique opportunity for an experienced designer looking for the next step in their career - perfect for someone in a larger company who wants to move faster, or from a smaller organisation looking to make a big impact in a fast-growing scale-up environment.
The Senior Product Designer will be accountable for spearheading innovative and impactful design solutions, in this hands-on role.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will collaborate closely with other departments to implement customer-focused design strategies that prioritise business objectives.
You will have design accountability across the domain to work out the best way for users to interact with products and services, in terms of both overall flow and at the level of individual design elements.
You will apply human-centred design (HCD) techniques to create best in class, usable and inclusive designs for products, services, and features to enhance the customer experience.
The impact you will have/core responsibilities: Hands-On Design: run hands-on Design & UX workshops, conduct research, apply insights, conduct user flows, journey maps and sketches.Design Leadership: actively contribute your expertise to critical design projects, setting the bar for design quality, and influencing product direction and strategy across the full suite of products.Accountability: own design decisions and be a steward of design excellence; advocating its importance.Human-Centred Design: apply HCD and customer-centric thinking for exceptional user experiences.Research & Analysis: apply both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including journey and empathy mapping.Prototyping: utilise prototyping methods, from low to high fidelity.Design Systems: develop and employ design systems, with a focus on responsive design.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication: work closely with Marketing, Product, and Technology teams, and other business stakeholders to drive outcomes.About You The talents you will bring: 5+ years working in interaction, service and/or product design with an online portfolio.Experience working with complex B2B2C SAAS, Payments, Payment Gateway, or eCommerce products would be advantageous.Extensive experience with Figma or similar design tools is essential.Expertise in agile methodologies, and experience working with offshore delivery teams.Extensive visual and interactive design experience with a background in creating accessible and inclusive designs.Ability to confidently lead workshops, and inspire, and encourage innovation.A passion for being hands-on/in the detail - doing the market research, determining customer needs and preferences, completing rough sketches, as well as design software and detailed drawings.Ability to work across multiple streams of the business – engaging with stakeholders, communicating between teams, and interacting with customers and delivery partners.Ability to manage ambiguity and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.Self-motivated and highly organized with a curious mindset and commitment to personal development.What you will receive
