Mining - Processing (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time Gold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, Peru, South Africa and West Africa (including the Asanko JV), as well as one project in Chile.
Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region (GFA) include a 100% interest in the St Ives, Agnew and Granny Smith mines and a 50:50 interest in the Gruyere JV project with Gold Road Resources.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor at Agnew, you will be responsible for operating the plant and equipment in a safe, environmentally responsible, productive and efficient manner. You will provide coverage for the Shift Supervisor when they are unavailable and ensure production activities achieve maximum effective use of the plant and equipment.
This role is offered on an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth.
Benefits include: Quarterly Bonus SchemeVirgin Velocity reward pointsSalary sacrifice optionsIncreased leave entitlements for annual leave, paid primary and secondary parental leaveEmployee Assistance ProgramLong service leave pro rata after 5 years of continuous serviceAbout the role: Provide coverage for the Shift Supervisor when they are not on site or unavailable.Manage workgroups and activities as directed by the Shift Supervisor including tasks such as coordinating unplanned work, maintaining log sheets, ensuring checklists, samples and reports are completed by the Operators.Ensure samples are taken as scheduled and production data recorded appropriately.Liaise with Metallurgists regarding operating parameters and technical issues and communicate to relevant Operators.Complete accurate and timely shift reports.Operating processing plant equipment relating to grinding, gravity, leach, adsorption, crushing, gold room, paste plant, tails storage and process control system.Operate the IT loader, bobcat, forklift, and power tools in a safe and correct manner.Identify and diagnose items of the plant that require preventative maintenance or repair.Identify and act on ways of improving output or efficiency of the plant.Assist in development of competencies of other employees.About you: Proven operating experience in a mineral processing environment, preferably Gold.Previous Control Room experience, specifically with Citect DCS.The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.Capability to complete repetitive tasks at a consistent standard.A Valid C Class Driver's Licence.Computing skills in word processing, spreadsheets and databases.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Applications can be submitted via: https://careers.goldfields.com/Australia We are committed to achieving a diverse and inclusive workforce, and strongly encourage applications from female, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, as well as candidates with culturally diverse backgrounds.
