Job Overview:In this hybrid role (8:6 site-based by 4:3 WFH/CBD rotating), you'll be essential to plant operations by optimising control systems, driving process improvements, and ensuring smooth business continuity. If you're a hands-on professional focused on enhancing performance and delivering innovative solutions, we'd like to hear from you.Responsibilities:Provide technical support for fault diagnostics, breakdown assistance, corrective actions, and troubleshooting plant control functions.Develop, document, and maintain plant control philosophies, functional descriptions, and start-up sequences, supporting both existing operations and new projects.Oversee the change process for plant control system modifications, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance process control efficiency.Maintain and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans while supporting cross-department collaboration on project needs.Develop systems to capture business improvement ideas to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and equipment performance.Analyze performance data, downtime records, and incidents to drive continuous improvement, while upholding system documentation and procedures.Ensure effective management of contractors and consultants, and oversee optimal operation of the water recovery system, promptly reporting any faults.Requirements:Relevant trade background or tertiary qualification in electrical engineering, instrumentation, or automation/process control.Minimum 5 years of experience in process control applications, including PLC programming, SCADA configuration, field instrument selection, and commissioning.Strong documentation, time management, and working knowledge of electrical standards and codes.Experience with Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal, SIMATIC S7), Citect SCADA, and Profinet communications protocol.Familiarity with servers, networking equipment, fibre optics, telemetry, and HV and LV ABB variable speed drives in process industries.Proven ability to build strong interdepartmental relationships, establish credibility as a trusted advisor, and promote a safe working culture.Sound understanding of mineral processing equipment, with strong team-oriented and communication skills.What's Offered:Willing to discuss remuneration expectations8:6 site roster by 4:3 CBD/WFH (revolving)Opportunity for long-term career growthInitial contract option, permanent preferredFor further information and a confidential discussion, please contact Zack at 0452 434 951 or click "Apply Now."About Us:Our client focuses on developing and overseeing lucrative, scalable mining operations that stand out in the international market.
