About the role

We're all about helping our members make the most of their money.
Join our Public Markets team and you'll be at the heart of building our internal research power.
This aligns with our role as a large and long-term shareholder of listed companies, a strategy we call 'Active View.'
Active View's corporate research and engagement support will fuel key investment initiatives in Public Markets.
Think domestic equity capital markets and analysing investments in our Australian Equities portfolio.
Plus, you'll help expand our corporate engagement model, dive into Sustainable Investments, and be part of shaping Australian Retirement Trust's (ART) investment identity.
Day to day, you'll: Dive deep into company and industry research to form insightful investment views on listed companies.
Your research will help to shape our investment thinking and decisions.
Assist ART in engaging with publicly listed companies and other key stakeholders.
Your insights and communication skills will help build strong relationships.
Identify relevant corporate and market trends to shape our investment decisions.
Your keen eye for trends will keep us ahead of the curve.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to execute strategic initiatives within the Corporate Research and Engagement Support domain.
Your teamwork will drive our success.

This position is available as a 12-month max term opportunity

due to parental leave.
We are excited to consider both full-time , part-time

and condensed working arrangements .
About you

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills.
We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them.
It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: Analytical Whiz:

Analytical experience on either the Buy or Sell side, across various industries.
You know the key players and can whip up investment valuations and recommendations in no time.
Trend Spotter:

You get emerging trends and know where to focus.
Global Globetrotter:

Some exposure to major international markets and listed companies.
Deal Maker:

Experience with investment banks in equity capital market transactions.
You can engage effectively with all key stakeholders, including the Dealing Desk, and are familiar with IPOs, takeovers, and block trades.
Senior Presence:

You can engage with key ART stakeholders, present your investment thinking, argue your position confidently, and understand the broader perspectives of a complex asset owner/superannuation fund.
Governance Guru:

Strong governance and risk management ethos.
Visionary:

You have the vision and resilience to elevate ART's Active View capability from its current state, supporting a wide range of activities including ECM and corporate transactions, maturing ART's investment identity, and expanding corporate engagement.
