Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development NSW – Dubbo NSW
Location: Willing to consider candidates across all NSW locations.
Preference will be given to candidates based regionally, with a focus on Queanbeyan, Armidale, Dubbo and Coffs Harbour.Clerk Grade 9/10: Salary from $120,859 pa plus super and leave loading.Diversity and inclusion are core values of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.

About the Role
The Senior Policy and Programs Officer provides strategic policy and legislative advice to support the NSW Food Authority in achieving its functions under the Food Act 2003 and regulations.
The role conducts research, develops policy recommendations, manages legislative matters, and collaborates with government agencies on national food policy.
It also involves supporting internal communication, representing the Authority on committees, and mentoring junior staff.
Strong analytical skills and experience in policy development are essential.

High level of understanding of the mechanisms and processes of government.Working knowledge of policy tools and options to address complicated issues and experience in policy analysis, formulation, interpretation, and evaluation.Ability to think laterally and focus on developing efficient and effective policy solutions.Applying is easy!
