As the Senior Policy Officer, you will support the delivery of large projects involving complex legal and policy issues through effective planning and governance and undertaking research and analysis.
You will contribute to priority projects such as reforms to Queensland's guardianship system, implementation of youth justice reforms in courts, digitisation of court and tribunal services, and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
Your key responsibilities:
Support the design and delivery of operational policy projects for Courts and Tribunals (CAT) arising from legislative and public policy reforms, including undertaking research and analysis. Contribute to complex government submissions to support the implementation of legislative and public policy reforms in CAT, including the development of options. Draft planning and governance documentation to support the implementation and evaluation of policy projects for CAT. Support development of best-practice policies and procedures to implement legislative and public policy reforms. Participate in interdepartmental and interagency meetings as required. Undertake other duties as required. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
