Location: Sydney CBDSalary Package: AU$90 - 120k + Super (dependent on level)Role Highlights: An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a proven Claims Advocate to join a high performing team with a focus on supporting the interests of property-based clients throughout claims processes.
Role Overview As a Claims Advocate, you will work closely with clients of the brokerage to represent their interests in claims discussions with insurers and other third parties.
Understanding the nuances of the process from notification to settlement will be essential, as will be an understanding of the specifics around physical damage claims and quantum.
The brokerage specifically provides Strata Insurance to both Residential and Commercial clientele and as such you will have a broad range of customers you will be able to support.
Responsibilities: Managing a varied case load, you will maintain consistent communication with clients of the brokerage throughout the claims process.Work with Insurer and underwriting agency claims teams to support processes, ensure high quality of service and negotiate outcomes.Actively negotiate quantum in the event of a claims settlement.Work closely with third parties such as Loss Adjusters and Solicitors to ensure thorough investigations are carried out where there is contention.Provide advice to Strata Managers and Property Owners on aspects of strata, property and industrial special risk mitigation.Candidate Profile You will be an experienced claims professional with a track record across Short-Tail product lines specifically focused on physical damage.
You will have:
A background working within a claims setting for a brokerage, insurer or underwriting agency.At least 3 years' experience handling Property, Strata or Industrial Special Risk claims.A track record of commitment to a role for more than 2 years, demonstrating the ability to develop internal and external relationships over time.The ability to communicate in person, in writing and over the phone including overcoming difficult conversations.Strong traits of character, positivity, resilience and accountability which will support you to excel in the role and the business.This is a great opportunity for you to build your personal brand in the insurance sector and develop strong skills in negotiation, relationship management and advocacy.
